OUR STORY
Colter Merrick and Sharon Cummings created Elixart in 2012 after a move from the Bay Area to Nevada City, California. Our mission is to bring herbal alchemy and plant power to the people.
In the beginning, we set the space as an art gallery and started serving ceremonial tea with the local community and international travelers. We soon discovered: shared intention and community connection is where the true magic transpired.
Within a year, we were transforming Elixart into a gathering place to enjoy non-alcoholic, plant-based drink offerings that support healthy practices, elevated conversation, and artistic expression, somewhere we could truly connect with each other and the transformational power of plants.
CULTIVATING COMMUNITY
In addition to our flagship herbal lounge location in Nevada City, we have brought our hand-crafted elixirs across the country to festivals and events. Get in touch here to inquire about having us come to your next event.
In 2018-2019, we installed a pop-up elixir bar in the immersive art museum, OneDome, on Market Street in San Francisco.
In 2020, we opened a second location in the neighboring town of Grass Valley and expanded our production with a large commercial kitchen facility where we began bottling premium Jun elixirs in a fermentation station, and created a superfood smoothie menu.
We are moving into a new and expanded Nevada City location in Summer 2021.
We are happy to launch our online marketplace; making plant power accessible to everyone. Shop our product collection here.
RITUAL TRADITION
We encourage you to slow down and savor the purity of our hand-picked ingredients. We believe in sourcing only high integrity and sustainable ingredients, organic whenever possible.
Throughout our evolution, our intension has stayed the same:
We are here to inspire a culture that is fully awake and fully connected - to ourselves, each other, the power of plants, and our shared planet.
